Research published by scientists in Environmental Sciences Europe shows that graphene oxide has an extremely high specific surface area, which makes it excellent in adsorption performance.

Medical and biological applications: GO's applications in the medical field are focused on drug delivery and imaging. Through functionalization, graphene oxide paste can carry drugs for targeted drug delivery. Construction materials: Graphene oxide paste has also been explored for enhancing the mechanical properties of cement and concrete. A study from ScienceDirect showed that 0.03% GO can increase the compressive strength of cement by 21.72%.
